There are, apparently, two possibilities to build a page, then a small Internet site.
The first consist in using a software of HTML edition (DreamWeaver© ou FrontPage© for example)
The second consist in trying to understand the operation of HTML language, thanks to books (HTML for the Web for example) then to launch out, calmly, in the pure and hard programming of the Web pages.
And well, I chose the second solution !
And, thanks to an HTML editor like DreamWeaver© or WebExpert© I can control the text of my program, and correct it if necessery.
This site is developed with an environment Windows95 and Windows98, IE5 et IE5.5,
for a posting on a screen 15 inches in 800x600 and 256 colors, and on a screen 17 inches
in 1024x768 et 65536 colors.
I carried out tests of posting under Netscape, and I had the unpleasant one surprised to note that certain parameters were not taken into account.
- Defects under Netscape 4.6 :
- In the Intro page, the lines (images), are not in their place, but are found on top of screen.
- The unrolling banner (an applet Java) does not function.
- The funds of pages (images) are not posted.
- And perhaps of other defects which I did not located yet.

- New defects under Netscape 4.7 :
- The Intro page does not post any more the lines (images)...
- Certain funds of pages are posted ...
- The general menu (in gray, at the head of page) is not active any more, and yet it is written in JavaScript (language of Netscape)...
- The column ACTUS is not posted (written, it also, in JavaScript)...
- The page ACCUEIL/PERSO is posted in an odd way (the beacon DIV does not seem to be appreciated by Netscape)...
- And to finish, amongst other things problem, on this same page, logo MA PAGE MAROLLES is not positioned correctly (in spite of coordinates with the pixel meadows)...
- Defects under Netscape 6.0 (béta 2):
- The lines of the Intro page are posted correctly (but bad horizontal positioning !).
- The fund of the Intro page is posted correctly.
- The applet Java of the banner takes care correctly but with a surprising slowness.
It would seem that a basic image, defined in the beacon STYLE of heading HEAD, is not appreciated by Netscape.
This image, directly definite in beacon BODY, is correctly taken into account.
Then, sorry for Netscapiens, but I privilege, for the moment, operation under IE5, before passing to the correction for all the versions of navigators.
